TAFTO 2006 Contributor Bio - Marc Geelhoed

Marc Geelhoed has been writing about music for various publications throughout the Midwest since 2001. He joined the staff of Time Out Chicago as Classical Music Writer in January, 2005, having freelanced for the Chicago Reader previously. While earning a Master's in musicology at the Indiana University, he began writing for the local newspapers. He also writes about jazz and contributes to TOC's main Music section frequently, as well. He's written for NUVO (Indianapolis, Ind.), the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bloomington Herald-Times and is a member of the Music Critics Association of North America. He once had a review killed from publication for being too "literary."
