All About Take A Friend To Orchestra 2008
Now in its fourth year, Take A Friend To Orchestra, or TAFTO, is an annual event at Adaptistration every April where a collection of critics, bloggers, musicians, classical music enthusiasts, and administrators write about how average patrons throughout the country can invite friends who don't regularly participate in live performances to a concert event in your area. The 2008 program will feature a different contributor each weekday from April 7 - 18.
Essentially, TAFTO is an opportunity for the people who care the most about classical music to participate in a proactive way; and no, you're not simply going to get hit up to write a check or make a donation to your local orchestra. Instead, the program is all about enabling patrons to become contributing partners who have a distinct voice in the future of their orchestras.

TAFTO isn’t all about reading; we’re interested in hearing
about your TAFTO experiences too. As
such, we’re inviting you to send in an article recounting your experiences with
taking friends to a concert event. How did it go, what did they think about the
concert? Which ensemble was performing and what they play? Did any of the TAFTO
contributions contribute to a fun evening? (please
submit articles via email in MS Word or PDF format). Click here to submit your TAFTO experience!
